Well the red band trailer for Bruno is up. And I'm a little underwhelmed. I think the problem is that after Borat there's really nothing that Sascha Baron Cohen can do to shock us anymore. I'm not saying he can't push it further than he did in that film, it looks like he may well have done that here. But we won't be surprised by it anymore. Going into Borat even hearing all the things people were saying about it the audience would be constantly shocked at how far this went. Well now we know that Cohen is capable of anything and we're not as shocked when he does it, even if we haven't seen that specific act before. While it still may be extremely funny (fingers crossed) I hope this is the last film of this style that he makes. I would hate for his comic genius to become gimmicky. _________________ Is it time for my pills? |

I sadly had/have no interest in Bruno, simply because Borat was kind of a one-trick movie and to try to duplicate it in any capacity does kill what it was trying to do. _________________ "Then there's this shrink, and a flower delivery guy, and feet being massaged, a horrible lack of anything Jedi or monkey related." |

| I personally wasn't a big fan of Borat, but that isn't really deterring me from Bruno. I'll wait and see on this one. |
